Christmas-themed Hot Air Balloon Decoration, Scandinavian Fox – Velvet Only

A Christmas decoration you can sew in just a few minutes!

This Christmas decoration is quick and easy to sew. It was designed especially for beginners (and everyone else).

No pattern needed: the seam allowance is already included in the design of each decoration. So you don’t have to measure or trace anything—just cut the velvet along the edge of the design.

It will take you just 15 minutes to sew a hot-air balloon on a sewing machine. By hand, allow about 30 minutes using a small backstitch.

This craft can be sewn by children ages 8 to 10. The only requirement is that they know how to sew in a straight line! 🙂

To make it, you’ll also need: a small piece of fabric for the lining, and a small piece of felt and trim for the carrycot. You’ll find detailed instructions, illustrated with photographs.

A soft velvet with rich, vibrant colors.

Microfiber velvet is typically used in upholstery. It is very durable and extremely resistant to wear and tear. The type we’ve chosen, however, is thinner, very supple, and sews just like a regular fabric.

The print is colorfast; there is no risk of fading, shrinking, or losing its shape.

Microfiber velvet is fully recyclable.

Easy care: machine washable at 30°C, and can be tumble dried (synthetic cycle).
