And yes, here we go again. To think we didn't see it coming… no. But still, faced with a done deal, we were a little taken aback.
But not for long!
This major effort we’re all going to make, to varying degrees, is to finally manage to ward off that little beast lurking slyly around doorknobs and subway corridors—or elsewhere—when it isn’t floating in the air, hiding in some rather unorthodox droplets… It’s no fun—it’s downright boring, to put it mildly—but it’s in the hope of better days, so we’re on board, united, enthusiastic, and all that.
Well, since we can’t come to you to show you all our new items, here’s the schedule of events.
Because YES, we’re going to keep celebrating. YES, we’re going to keep coming up with ideas. And YES YES YES, we’re going to make it through this! Goodness gracious! (Haha, it’s not every day you get to slip “Goodness gracious” into a newsletter!)
To start with, if you’d like, you can check out the brand-new “Christmas Decorations” section in the sewing patterns section.
We absolutely loved designing all these little ornaments and decorations that will bring warmth and color to our holiday celebrations—poor 2020, it really needs it 😉
In fact, to really get into the spirit, I’ve already started listening to my Christmas albums—after all, why not… Who knows, maybe next week I’ll start baking some breedele*
On a completely different note, and still in the “Sewing Projects” section, here are our little wipes. Printed on ULTRA-SOFT minky-style velour, and paired with their handy little storage basket, these wipes were a huge hit with our lovely customers at the Besançon trade show, who got to see them “in person” last week (there will be a few of these in Santa’s sack), and that made us very happy! We’ve designed six different coordinating sets, for little ones as well as for grown-ups. They’re gentle enough for delicate skin; like all our products, they’re printed in France with OEKO-TEX certified inks. That’s something we really care about! And of course, they’re machine washable!
Finally, to please all those who have been clamoring for “the same mask as yours!”, here in the Sewn Items section are the masks made from our Doudou jersey fabrics.
The whole family is here: Mr. Bear, Mrs. Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Cat, and Mr. Sheep. After all, a fun mask is always better. I line them with a beautiful GOTS-certified organic chambray, woven and printed in France, which—the icing on the cake—has successfully passed DGA testing!
I really like them because they’re easy to wash, comfortable, and breathable. I’m not an authorized testing center, but I’ve been wearing them for six months now. That’s nice, too 😉
That's it. Take care, and see you soon. We're working on a new montage video for next week.
Because that’s one of the “perks” of lockdown: we finally have time to put together those videos we’ve been promising you for ages…
Hugs!
Béné & Laurent

* Translation note: Breedele: a small Alsatian shortbread cookie typically made for Christmas. Literally “little cake.” In Alsatian, people add “ele” or “ala” to the end of words to make them sound cute. For example, my mom calls me “bubbele”—little doll… There you go… That was your language lesson for the day!

I’m going to take advantage of the new lockdown to make some little gifts using your lovely designs, because, as Stanislas so aptly puts it, “True happiness lies in making others happy.”
Thanks, Michèle, and happy sewing!
I think I met you at the Saint-Étienne fair; my daughter and I bought some pencil cases and coin purses.
We love cat designs
