Hello! We're Bénédicte and Laurent!
Drawing is a great pleasure for both of us, and over the years we’ve built up a lovely collection of illustrations that we print in France on soft velvet fabric.
With these fabric scraps, we make cute accessories like hand wipes, pouches, bags, pencil cases, coin purses… In short, anything that makes everyday life a little more beautiful!
On our website or at our booth, we offer coupons in various sizes as well as ready-to-sew kits ! And for those who don’t sew (yet), we also offer ready-made items !
We love meeting you all over France, so maybe we’ve crossed paths at a craft fair in recent months? You can find our tour of France here.
What inspires us
One of our main sources of inspiration is undoubtedly nature and its simple beauty. Flowers, little birds, dreamlike landscapes… And we love to capture moments of life in drawings, to remember those little moments of everyday happiness, like a walk by the ocean or a bike ride.
The History ofAtelier des ABCDaires
Atelier des ABCDaires founded over 30 years ago! Originally specializing in cross-stitch and embroidery kits, the company was founded in 1989 in Lyon by my older sister, Véronique Maurin. The product line quickly expanded to include patchwork, featuring a selection of fabrics from the United States.
Since then,Atelier des ABCDaires evolved to focus on capturing special moments through velvet fabric swatches printed in France. My husband Laurent has been working alongside me since 2016 to create original designs and prepare our fabric swatches and sewing kits.
Atelier des ABCDaires is all about family, creativity, and passion, driven by a desire to offer you original, high-quality products printed in France. From fabric scraps to zippers and lining fabrics, we choose to work with French companies to ensure the highest quality for your creative projects.
