To keep Hortense warm when the weather starts to get chilly, here’s a complete outfit: cape, shirt, pants, shoes, scarf…
Kit contents
- A full-size pattern for making the doll (actual size: 50 cm), the undergarments (fabric not included), and the outfit.
- Assembly instructions for each component. Each key step is illustrated with photos. A detailed list of all the fabrics, buttons, accessories, etc., needed for the project is included. The fabrics—whether solid or printed—are always coordinated but may vary from collection to collection!
- Supplies needed to make the outfit.
- The fabric needed to make the doll is included (a 40 x 70 cm piece of mixed-weave fabric)!
Our tips
- If you're making this doll for children, don't use buttons (not included) for the eyes—embroider them instead—and use yarn for the whiskers instead of waxed thread.
- You can, of course, use your own fabric, but in that case we recommend using a sturdy fabric, such as a sheet, that won’t lose its shape when stuffed. If you use linen, which is stiffer, be sure to trim the seams before turning the mouse pieces inside out; otherwise, the linen will crease along the curves. We recommend PSR Quilt’s Flocon Air Fibre batting, available on our website, or any other synthetic batting that makes washing easier.
